Prerelease events give players the opportunity to experience the new set at participating game stores before its wider release.

Welcome to Hyperia City!

Forget everything you thought you knew about the streets of Lorcana. Hyperia City brings together the familiar magic of Disney with the energy of a bustling modern city.

Think incredible performances, fascinating shops, colourful neighbourhoods and plenty of unexpected encounters along the way.

The city features several distinctive areas, including City Center, Wandering Straits, Olde Towne Hyperia and the Marigold District.

Each neighbourhood offers its own atmosphere and opportunities to discover different Glimmers.

There's a wonderful mix of fantasy and urban life throughout the set, giving the cards a fresh visual identity while keeping the magic that makes Disney Lorcana so special.

And, of course, not everything happening in Hyperia City is quite as innocent as it first appears!

Something new has been discovered in the city, and it could change the way Illumineers approach the game.

Disney and Pixar's Coco Makes Its Lorcana Debut!

One of the biggest talking points surrounding Hyperia City is the arrival of Glimmers inspired by Disney and Pixar's Coco.

Fans of Miguel, Héctor and the Rivera family will have plenty to get excited about as the world of the film joins the Lorcana universe.

Music plays an important role in the set, with the characters bringing memorable moments from the Land of the Dead and the world of the living into the game.

There are also cards inspired by the film's vibrant colours, musical performances and unforgettable characters.

For collectors, this is an exciting opportunity to discover new interpretations of beloved characters.

For players, the set also includes interesting interactions connected to the story of Coco.

Some cards reward players for remembering Glimmers that have already passed into the discard pile, adding another layer of strategy to the game.

If you've been waiting for Coco to make its way into Lorcana, Hyperia City looks like a set worth exploring!

Ink Drops: A Brand-New Mechanic!

Every new Lorcana set brings something different to the table, and Hyperia City introduces a mechanic called Ink Drops.

Normally, managing your Inkwell is an important part of building your strategy. You need to decide which cards to commit to your Inkwell and when to spend your available ink.

Ink Drops introduce a new way to generate temporary resources during a game.

These special drops are worth one ink each and can help you play cards more quickly. Unlike ordinary ink, however, they are temporary and are removed from the game after being used.

Even more interestingly, Ink Drops aren't restricted to a single ink colour.

Cards across the different ink colours can generate them, opening up new possibilities for deck construction and gameplay.

This could make Hyperia City particularly interesting for players who enjoy experimenting with combinations and finding new ways to get their strongest cards into play.

Of course, the best strategies will become clearer as players explore the full set and discover which card combinations work best together.

One thing is certain: Ink Drops give Illumineers something new to experiment with!

Enchanted Cards: Hyperia City After Dark

Let's be honest. One of the most exciting parts of any new Lorcana set is discovering its beautiful Enchanted cards!

Hyperia City gives these special cards a distinctive nighttime aesthetic, using dramatic lighting and colourful city scenes to create a different atmosphere from the standard artwork.

The result is a collection of cards that captures the excitement of a city after dark.

From musical performances to quieter moments around town, the artwork offers a fresh way to experience familiar Disney characters.

Enchanted cards are always popular with collectors, and Hyperia City gives fans another opportunity to discover artwork that stands out from the rest of the set.

And there's more for collectors to look forward to.

The set also features two Iconic cards:

• Mickey Mouse – Best in Town

• Cinderella – Unintentional Icon

These are among the rarest cards in the game, making them particularly exciting names for collectors to watch out for.

Of course, pulling a specific rare card is never guaranteed when opening boosters, but that hasn't stopped collectors from looking forward to seeing the full range of artwork.

Meet Familiar Disney Characters in a Whole New Way

Hyperia City isn't just about Coco. The set brings together plenty of familiar faces from across the Disney universe.

Disney Princesses

Several Disney Princesses appear in new Dreamborn interpretations, exploring different interests and activities around the city.

Ariel showcases her love of fascinating objects and inventions, Cinderella explores fashion and dressmaking, and Rapunzel embraces her artistic side.

These new interpretations give collectors a different perspective on characters they already know and love.

Zootopia

Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde are also part of the adventure.

While they're investigating the mysterious Ink Drops, other animal characters are enjoying the city's nightlife and musical entertainment.

It's another example of how Hyperia City connects different Disney stories within one setting.

More Disney Favourites

The set also includes familiar characters such as Mickey Mouse and Merlin, alongside other returning favourites.

One of the enjoyable things about exploring the cards is discovering how different characters fit into the city's neighbourhoods and stories.

There's plenty to look through, whether you're collecting specific characters or simply enjoying the artwork.

Which Hyperia City Products Should You Look Out For?

If you're planning to collect the new set, there are several products worth knowing about.

Disney Lorcana: Hyperia City Booster Packs

Booster packs are a great option if you enjoy the excitement of opening cards and discovering what you find inside.

They're ideal for adding cards to an existing collection, exploring a new set or looking for cards to experiment with in your decks.

Each booster contains a random selection of cards, so every opening offers a different experience.

Just remember that there are no guarantees of pulling a particular character, rarity or Enchanted card.

Hyperia City Booster Display Boxes

If you're planning a bigger opening, a booster display box is another option to consider.

Buying multiple boosters together can be a convenient way to explore more of the set, whether you're opening packs with friends or working on a collection.

They're also worth considering if you regularly collect new Lorcana releases.

As always, check the specific product details before purchasing so you know exactly what you're getting.

Hyperia City Illumineer's Trove

The Illumineer's Trove is another product for fans to look out for.

The Hyperia City version includes eight booster packs alongside accessories such as damage dice and a lore counter.

It also features a full-art storage box, making it a useful option for collectors who want a dedicated place for their cards and accessories.

For anyone who enjoys both opening packs and organising their collection, it offers a combination of cards and practical extras.

Hyperia City Prerelease Boxes

If you enjoy playing Lorcana at your local game store, prerelease events are a fantastic way to experience a new set alongside other players.

Hyperia City prerelease boxes include six booster packs, four damage dice and one random promotional card, along with an exclusive poster.

These events provide an opportunity to explore the new cards, experiment with the set and enjoy the community side of collecting and playing.

Availability is limited to participating locations, so check with your local game store for event details.

Is Disney Lorcana: Hyperia City Worth Collecting?

That depends on what you enjoy most about Lorcana, but there are several reasons why Hyperia City could appeal to different types of fans.

For collectors, the new artwork, Enchanted cards, Iconic cards and arrival of Coco-inspired Glimmers provide plenty to explore.

For players, Ink Drops introduce a new mechanic that could encourage different strategies and deck-building experiments.

For Disney fans, the set offers fresh interpretations of familiar characters and a setting that brings together music, fantasy and city life.

And for anyone who simply enjoys opening booster packs, there's always the excitement of discovering cards you haven't seen before.

As with any trading card release, individual preferences will vary. Some collectors will focus on particular characters, while others will want to explore the set as a whole.

Our advice? Take a look at the cards, decide what interests you most and choose the products that suit your collection and budget.
